Through the Looking Glass!

Hello my lovies!!!! I'm back with a review on this year's Met Gala. This year's theme was China: Through the Looking Glass. And Yes people the ladies came to show out this year. There were  some hits and misses at this year's gala. You may agree. You may not. Fashion and style will always be personal perception.
First we start off with Olivia Pope. Miss Kerry Washington. I love Kerry and I love this Prada dress on her. It's not my favorite but it suits her style and sort of goes with the theme of the Gala.
Next up is Beyonce. Now most people loved this Givency dress, but I hated it! I feel like it didn't go with the theme of the Gala. I also feel that Beyonce is established enough not to have to wear something so revealing. She could've done better in my opinion.
Jennifer Lopez is up next in a Versace dragon inspired red dress. While the dress goes well with the theme, it was very luke warm to me.
Even though the whole see-through dress theme that was happening at the Ball wasn't my favorite, I feel Kim K's white Cavalli dress was beautiful!
Solange's dress threw me off a little bit. I liked the Giles mini dress but I think it would've looked better longer.
Just like most, I'm over the Kardashian/Jenner clan, but Kendall looks stunning in this Calvin Klein olive green dress.
Sarah Jessica Parker is my second winner up for best dress for the night. The Philip Treacy headpiece was absolutely stunning and attention grabbing.
My first winner up for best dress is Miss Zendaya. This Fausto Puglisi dress was beautiful, age appropriate, and very on theme. She looks beautiful and very stylish.

And the WINNER for BEST DRESSED AT THE MET GALA WAS...(drum roll please)...

RIHANNA!!!!!!!

Ms Bad Gal herself stole the show and snatched wigs, weaves, and edges in this gorgeous Gou Pei dress. The beautiful yellow ensemble was hand sewn and took two years to complete.
The dress had to have four train carries just for Rihanna to walk up the steps.
She completed the look with Louboutin, Cartier jewels, and a beautiful headpiece.
Rihanna's dress isn't for everyone, But baby it was all for me!!! She showed why she is definitely a worthy style icon!!!!!

Bulky sweater

Hey style babies! I'm back with a simple look I wore to go shopping with my mama. It was a cold day so I opted for a sweater, jeans, and boots. I know that this sweater makes me look bigger than I really am, but I love this sweater and I was going for comfort. It doesn't look bad and I look very happy in the pictures! I also chose to wear a messy top knot with a leopard print scarf to add bring a little "unf" to the outfit. Had to bring comfort to the wild side Lol. I'll see you beautiful souls soon. Bye!

Black and Yellow!

Hi beauties! I'm back with another blog post. This time I went to a friend's birthday dinner and the look I was going for was casual yet slightly edgy. So I went for a black leather jacket, a gray tank, yellow jeggings, and black booties. I got the tank from Wet Seal. I got the yellow jeggings from Walmart. And I honestly don't remember where I got the jacket or the booties because I have had them for so long. I hope you all enjoy this simple look. Fyi I know these pictures are not the best, but Hey they show the outfit Lol. Until next time. MUAH!!

~2014 Reflection~

This year has truly been a great year! I have accomplished so many things I never thought I would accomplish. I have also feared and worried about things I had no control over. 2014 has truly taught me to give all my problems to God, have no worries because God knows the answers, and to push my fears a out of the way and go for what I know. The worst thing that happen this year was my daddy having a heart attack and not knowing what to think or believe. I was at one of the most stressful times of my life. I cried all the time because I didn't know whether my daddy would see me turn 25 or walk across the stage at graduation. But through praises to the most High, my daddy made it through and is stronger now! Speaking of turning 25, that had to by far one of the best birthdays I had in my adult life. It was my quarter century!!! Many people don't experience that birthday and I'm blessed to have gotten this far! But my biggest accomplishment was my graduation. I graduated from the University of South Alabama with a degree in Health Management. There were many times I felt like giving up but man am I happy I never did that. All the problems I faced throughout my undergrad career were all worth it! 2014 was definitely a year of accomplishments and payoffs because I worked harder than I've ever worked before!!! Never forget God never gives you more than you can handle and it all leads to a greater purpose in the future. Now let's make 2015 a year of blessings and greatness...Grind now. Play later!!!
